The MangrovES project team presented the latest progress of its research at the 6th European Conference of the Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP2026), held from 18 to 22 May 2026 in Prague, Czech Republic, under the theme “Advancing ecosystem services knowledge for achieving a nature- and people-positive Europe.”
The presentation, titled “Navigating Mangrove Socio-Ecological Trajectories: Governance Innovations for Ecosystem Services in Colombia,” was delivered by Stefan Sorge, Sergio Herazo Areiza, Connie P. López, Clara I. Villegas, and Daniela Kleinschmidt. It took place on 20 May as part of the session dedicated to plural approaches to valuing ecosystem services.
The team shared the project’s progress on the governance of mangrove socio-ecological systems in Colombia, highlighting how different institutional arrangements shape the sustainability and provision of nature’s contributions to people across the project’s pilot regions.
